A few weeks ago I got a call from a well-known marketer who was having trouble with Facebook ads.
It seems that a few years ago he was rolling in the dough left and right with Facebook ads.
As competition increased and those cheap clicks disappeared so did the revenue.
He talked non-stop and I couldn’t get a word in edgewise.
He kept telling me how great he was, how much money he made, the cars he owns, etc.
It seems this guy was drinking his own Kool-Aid or was full of himself.
About 15 minutes into his pitch fest about himself I interrupted him and ask what he needed.
He wanted to know if I could help him.
When I started asking him about his funnel he got really defensive and started acting like a spoiled brat that just got his first taste of discipline.
He started huffing and puffing about how great he is and how much money he makes.
That's when I dropped the bomb on him and told him that I don’t think our personalities would jive and to find somebody else.
As he started screaming into the phone, I hung up and set my phone to block his number.
Even if I wanted to, I couldn't work with him.
About 14 months ago I helped a buddy get into that same niche and one of the funnels we looked at belongs to the guy I just hung up on.
When we looked at his sales funnels we found some huge glaring holes that we were able to fix.
As a side note, the buddy that I helped clone the funnel is set to push $2 million this year.
